STAROS Projects
Join the adventure of amateur spectroscopy
STAROS aims to introduce spectroscopy, the keystone of astrophysics, revealing the richness and spectacular nature of the sky's objects even more than conventional images.
This objective is implemented in various forms (educational, collaborative and scientific) and projects. The project was created in September 2023 by 5 enthusiastic amateur astronomers
We need your support to achieve this !

The aim of the observing campaigns is to collect amateur spectra spectra of specific astronomical objects, over a period ranging from a few weeks to a few months. Objects are selected either for their spectacular characteristics, for their educational contribution, for their scientific interest, or for any other reason.

This is only possible with you
STAROS is not just a database. Our aim is to facilitate the discovery of spectroscopy, in all its aspects, and to transmit the pleasure of this practice. In this sense, we're not closing any doors or discussions, whether in terms of equipment, training or software, but above all in terms of observations. !
