STAROS aims to introduce spectroscopy, the keystone of astrophysics, revealing the richness and spectacular nature of the sky's objects even more than conventional images.
This objective is implemented in various forms (educational, collaborative and scientific) and projects. The project was created in September 2023 by 5 enthusiastic amateur astronomers

Shared observation campaigns
The aim of the observing campaigns is to collect amateur spectra spectra of specific astronomical objects, over a period ranging from a few weeks to a few months. Objects are selected either for their spectacular characteristics, for their educational contribution, for their scientific interest, or for any other reason.
